GASFITTERS – CLASS B install, inspect, repair and maintain gas lines and any gas-fired equipment up to and including 400,000 British Thermal Units (BTU). They also service, repair, remove and replace gas-fired equipment and components of gas-fired equipment. Performing tasks:
- Performs safety -related functions and common occupational skills.
- Gas Piping Preparation and Assembly.
- Installs venting and air supply systems.
- Selects and installs electrical and electronic components, and instrumentation control systems.
- Installs gas-fires systems and propane storage.
- Tests and commissions of gas-fires systems.
- Servicing gas-fired systems.
